Heya! My name is Travis reigning from Ontario, Canada. I am 19, and love exotics be it reptiles, fish, arachnids, crustaceans,
amphibians, plants, you name it!
I have always had a huge interest in the exotic, the bizarre, the unordinary since I was able to understand what they
were. As a young child I was always reading dinosaur and insect books in the library, they were my first huge interest. I
then moved onto fish, where they were the focus of my attention for some years, and again rotating towards the exotics. I
owned a few tanks containing brackish or fresh water. From fish I sort of fell into the reptile pool, I have always loved
them, having chameleons and anoles and garter snakes since I was a toddler, but the real reptile plunge was around 4 years
ago at least.
Chameleons have always been a huge part of my life and have grabbed my attention from childhood. The day I realised you
can actually own one and experience their wonders in your own household, I was captivated even further. I started off rocky,
doing some wrongs, few rights, and after much help I turned around and started researching for myself. Now I am happy to help
others with their problems, as I appreciate what advice I was given when I started out.
I may not be very old, but I can say I know a thing or two about a thing or two. I understand what it's like to get advice
from a faulty source, so I will honestly tell you if I do not know an answer, making up information is a pet peeve of mine
no doubt.
All little bit more on me; I have grown up in south-eastern Ontario, and still reside there. I do work in a small pet
shop for now, trying to do my part to correct the wrongful information dispersed by other ignorant businesses. I am attending
Durham College for Web Development. So eventually I will redo this site, spiffy it up a bit. However my career will not stop
at web development, I plan on owning a business dealing in exotics. I goal is to start producing captive bred animals from
species that are usually or always found wild caught.
I would love to travel, although I have never left Canada yet. I plan on visiting many place in my lifetime. Australia
I think is near the top of my list, however if I had to choose Madagascar wins by a mile.
I really would like to volunteer on expeditions to do species research and counts, doing my part to help conserve has
always been in the back of my mind and one day I will pursue it further.
Sorry for rambling on and on; I am always free to chat on MSN or through e-mail, or meeting up at a reptile expo is always
a pleasure.
Happy herping!!
Sincerely, Travis
